Stephanie Sampalis Mocka

Stephanie Sampalis Mocka, Esq. has a diverse work experience in various legal roles. Stephanie is currently the VP, Head of Compliance Training and Development/Compliance Officer at IDB Bank since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as an AVP, Regulatory Compliance Manager from August 2019 to November 2022.

Before their role at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Stephanie was an Attorney at Zachter PLLC from September 2017 to August 2019. Stephanie also served as In House Counsel at Franklin Credit Management from July 2015 to December 2015, where they ensured the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations and managed legal risks.

Stephanie gained experience as an Associate at Jaffe & Asher LLP from October 2011 to July 2015. Stephanie also worked as a Volunteer Attorney at New York City Family Court from September 2010 to December 2011.

In addition, Stephanie has teaching experience as an Adjunct Instructor at New York Career Institute from August 2010 to May 2011, where they supported the teaching and learning outcomes of the college.

Stephanie started their legal career as a Legal Intern for the General Counsel at New York State Division of Human Rights from September 2008 to December 2008, where they reviewed applications, prepared legal opinions, and assisted with division hearings. Stephanie also served as a Judicial Intern for Diccia Pineda-Kirwan at the New York Civil Court from September 2007 to August 2008, conducting legal research and drafting judicial opinions.

Stephanie'searly legal experience includes working as a Legal Intern at Leeds, Morelli and Brown, P.C. from May 2008 to July 2008, where they prepared motions, conducted client intake interviews, and attended hearings and depositions.

Stephanie Sampalis Mocka, Esq. earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the City University of New York School of Law from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University from 2000 to 2004. Stephanie graduated from Saint Francis with a high school diploma in 2000.
