Tom Schwieters

Tom Schwieters is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in business development and sales within the technology sector, currently serving as VP of Business Development for European Advisory at IDC since April 2000. With a strong focus on the needs of CIOs and senior tech executives, Tom Schwieters has successfully built relationships and developed a comprehensive portfolio of products and services across Europe. Previous roles at IDC include leading sales initiatives in the CEE region and overseeing significant revenue growth, while earlier career experiences at GE Capital and Barclays de Zoete Wedd involved managing business startups and providing advisory services in the financial sector. Tom Schwieters holds an MA in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a BA in Political Science and German from Middlebury College, complemented by a study year in Germany at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
