Alex Klimantov

Alex Klimantov is the Chief Technology Officer at Idea Financial. Alex has been in this role for 5 years and 3 months, during which time they have overseen all aspects of IT operations, cyber security, SOC1/2 compliance, and software development. Alex is also responsible for the company's technical department and is deeply involved in the design of AWS infrastructure for staging and production environments and deployment/continuous integration via TeamCity and SVN.

Prior to joining Idea Financial, Alex spent 14 years at iCertainty, where they held various titles including Chief Technology Officer / Chief Architect, Director of Technology / Architect, and Lead Developer. During their time at iCertainty, they were responsible for leading the software and technical development of the cutting-edge audit and compliance management system and had sole responsibility for the design of over half of the products of the organization. The products they designed resulted in the acquisition of Fortune 500 clients such as Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Sysco Inc, Bloomin’ Brands Inc.

Some of Alex's notable accomplishments include inventing a new approach for web services and http encryption (US Patents pending), ensuring system stability and 99.9% uptime through capacity planning and deploying extendable hardware architecture, and designing and implementing a very complex ActiveX control that provides the ability to perform scanning of documents/images from the internet browser window.

Alex Klimantov attended George Washington University from 1997 to 1998, where they studied computer science. Alex also attended Nayanova University from 1993 to 1997, where they studied computer science.
