Amara MacKey

Amara Mackey has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Amara currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Finance at Ideal Credit Union, starting in July 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Vice President of Finance from February 2021 to July 2023 and as the Assistant Vice President of Finance from December 2019 to February 2021. Before moving into finance roles, Amara worked as a Risk Management Analyst from February 2019 to December 2019 and as a Senior Accounting Specialist from July 2015 to February 2019. Amara began their career at Ideal Credit Union as a Mortgage Servicing/Processing Manager in February 2014 and held various positions within the organization, including Financial Accounting Rep - Accounts Payable and Mortgage Servicer. Prior to joining Ideal Credit Union, they worked at Ravich, Meyer, Kirkman, McGrath, Nauman & Tansey, P.A. as an Accounting Assistant/Secretary from February 2013 to February 2014.

Amara Mackey completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Minnesota State University, Mankato, from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Metro State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. Their high school education was completed at Tartan Senior High School from 2005 to 2008.
