Doug Miller has worked in the software engineering industry for over 25 years. Doug began their career in 1994 as a Senior Programmer and Tech Lead at Fastech, Inc. where they were responsible for requirements, analysis and design, data model, coding, and performance improvements for both the client and server. Doug also wrote apps in ‘C’, scripts, and PL/SQL on the server to handle data loading, retrieval, and export. In 1998, they joined First Consulting Group as a Senior Consultant. During their time there, they were the Technical Lead at Smithkline-Beecham developing 3-tier decision support software. Doug also wrote a white paper on the benefits of an n-tier service oriented architecture for decision support applications and co-wrote a Java application to manage compound inventory using Swing, JDBC, and Oracle. In 2000, they joined Lucent Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer. Doug was the lead developer and architect responsible for the full development lifecycle of a 4-tier multi-threaded Java server application providing device provisioning services to the cable broadband industry. Finally, in 2003, they joined identiMetrics, Inc. as the VP Development / Lead Architect.

Doug Miller attended Rutgers University from 1978 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
