Ian Thomas

Ian Thomas has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and development. Ian is currently employed as a Senior Lead Software Engineer at IDP Education Ltd since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at AppNative from March 2022 to December 2022. Ian also gained experience as a Software Engineer at WingArc Australia from January 2021 to March 2022. Before that, they served as a Software Developer and e-Research Engineer at RMIT University from March 2010 to November 2020. Additionally, Ian worked as a Research Fellow and Software Developer at Monash University from November 2006 to March 2010, where they also managed various projects related to intelligent collaborative care management and formal context analysis.

Ian Thomas completed their education with a PhD in Computer Science from the School of Computer Science & Software Engineering at Monash University, Victoria, Australia in 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1993. Their undergraduate studies were also completed at the University of Auckland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in an unspecified field in 1991.
