Oleg Kovpak

Oleg Kovpak has a diverse work experience in the field of product management and biometrics. Oleg is currently the Director of Product Management at ID R&D since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Rostelecom as the Head of Product Management Office from October 2018 to June 2019, where they were responsible for developing strategies and future visions for legal identification and authentication systems. Oleg also collaborated with governmental entities and participated in GR activities. Before that, Oleg Kovpak worked at Sberbank as the ID&V and Biometrics Chapter Lead from June 2017 to October 2018, where they focused on developing strategies for identification and verification processes and implementing biometric technologies. Oleg was also responsible for coordinating efforts between multiple teams and stakeholders. From January 2016 to May 2017, Oleg Kovpak was the Head of the Project Management Office at SpeechPro, where they specialized in multi-modal biometrics and presented at various conferences and exhibitions. Oleg also gained extensive experience in voice, facial, and fingerprint biometric technologies. Prior to that, they worked at Speech Technology Center as a Project Manager from February 2011 to May 2017, focusing on security, public safety, speech technologies, and biometrics. In addition, Oleg Kovpak worked as a Project Manager at Astrosoft from December 2009 to January 2011, managing projects in systems security and integration. Oleg also managed project teams and used different project management methodologies. Before that, they worked at GLOBAL Point Agency as the Development Department Chief from April 2005 to November 2009, where they managed both simple and complex projects. Lastly, Oleg Kovpak started their career at Radio Record as a Developer and Web Projects Manager from September 2003 to April 2005, where they developed multimedia online projects and managed negotiations with internal customers.

Oleg Kovpak obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering Technology, General from St.Petersburg State Polytechnical University from 2003 to 2007. Oleg also holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy. In terms of additional certifications, they completed Machine Learning by Stanford University in March 2017, Project Management with Microsoft Project from Санкт-Петербургский политехнический университет имени Петра Великого in September 2012, and became a Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager in September 2021 through Scaled Agile, Inc.
