An expert in master-planned communities, Chad is equally skilled in initiating new municipal utility districts (MUDs) and revitalizing the aging infrastructure of older communities. He has worked for more than a decade in The Woodlands, including facilitating approval of the first extension of Woodlands-style development into Harris County, 3,500-acre Creekside Park. His multi-year Creekside Park responsibilities encompass Carlton Woods Creekside Golf Course and Clubhouse, an extension of Kuykendahl Road, and two million gallons in groundwater storage. Chad’s other notable firsts include Sterling Lakes, the first large-scale planned community for rural Iowa Colony, and Waller County Road Improvement District No. 1, one of the region’s first districts with full county road and MUD powers. Within IDS, he mentors the intern engineers, nurturing them into capable project managers. In the community, he serves on the Greater Houston Builders Association Developers Council, advising government officials regarding legislation, regulations, and ordinances affecting real estate.
