Juho-Pekka Virolainen

Juho-Pekka Virolainen has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Juho-Pekka is currently the CTO of the Direct to consumer products group at IDT Corporation since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Partner at Revolution Partners from January 2016. Virolainen also served as the CTO of IDT Messaging from April 2014 to October 2020, where they created a messaging/calling app and built a white label operator messaging network. Before that, they were the Co-founder and CTO of HDmessaging from December 2010 to April 2014, where they built a messaging platform and mobile applications used by major carriers. Juho-Pekka also co-founded and served as CTO of Brightkite from April 2009 to June 2011, and co-founded and served as CTO of Limbo Inc from December 2005 to April 2009. Virolainen had a brief role as VP of Engineering and Services at Meridea Financial Software Ltd in 2005, where they introduced agile development methods. Juho-Pekka was also the VP of Engineering/CTO at Enpocket Inc from January 2004 to January 2005, where they developed a marketing engine for mobile operators. Lastly, Virolainen co-founded and served as CTO of Mobicus Ltd from September 2000 to January 2005, before successfully selling the company to Enpocket Inc.
