Keith Powe has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Keith started their career as a Professional Athlete for the Dallas Cowboys from 1991 to 1994. After that, they played for various football teams such as B.C. Lions (CFL), Toronto Argonauts, Tampa Bay, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL).
In 1997, they transitioned to the technology industry and worked as an Automation Engineer at Sperry-Sun, where they developed simulators and automation scripts for testing drilling applications and downhole tools.
From 1999 to 2002, Powe worked as a Senior Quality Engineer at PentaSafe. Then, they joined NetIQ as a Manager of Quality Engineering, where they managed a team of 56 resources across three continents and built and maintained a VMware lab with over 100 host machines. Keith also organized employee events.
From 2007 to 2010, Powe served as the Director of Quality Engineering at SoftLayer/The Planet. In this role, they led and trained a team of 42 quality engineers, developers, engineers, information engineers, leads, and managers. Keith coordinated with various departments and managed budgets and risks.
From 2010 to 2014, Powe worked at IDERA Software as the Director of Quality Engineering. Here, they managed a quality assurance team spread across three continents and implemented project plans and test plans for product life cycles.
After that, they moved to Continuum Managed Services as the Director of Quality Engineering and DevOps from 2014 to 2017, where they oversaw quality engineering and DevOps initiatives.
Lastly, Powe is currently the VP of Engineering at IDT Corporation starting from 2017. No end date is provided for this role.
Keith Powe received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso from 1990 to 1995. Prior to that, they pursued Computer Science studies at Lamar University from 1987 to 1989. Additionally, Keith has obtained a certification in Pragmatic Marketing from Pragmatic Marketing.
