Alfred Asterjadhi

Ieee802.11bn (uhr) Chair at IEEE802

Alfred Asterjadhi is an experienced professional in the field of telecommunications and networking, currently serving as the IEEE802.11bn (UHR) Chair at IEEE802 since November 2023. Alfred has held various leadership roles within IEEE, including IEEE802.11be TG Chair and IEEE802.11ax Vice Chair, and has been a System Engineer and Senior Engineer at Qualcomm since March 2013. Prior experience includes positions as IEEE802.11ah Vice Chair and Technical Editor, and engineering roles at Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe and as a Research Associate. Alfred's research expertise encompasses Underwater Acoustic Networks, Cognitive Radio Networks, and Wireless Networks, with significant contributions made during earlier appointments at Consorzio Ferrara Ricerche and The PennState University. Alfred earned a PhD in Information Sciences and Technologies along with MSc and BSc degrees in Telecommunications Engineering from Universita degli Studi di Padova.
