Eric Harrison is a Founding Partner and Co-CEO of IEQ Capital, has served as a financial adviser to wealthy families and institutional investors for over a decade, and has been a principal investor for over 20 years. Mr. Harrison also sits on the Investment Committee at IEQ Capital.
Mr. Harrison began his career working within business and corporate development at Hewlett-Packard and Ricoh Corporation. In 2000, he joined Crosspoint Venture Partners working as a principal investor before becoming a founding general partner at GI Partners. In 2008, Mr. Harrison co-founded Luminous Capital, an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm. At Luminous, he served as CEO and Portfolio Manager. Luminous Capital managed $5.5 billion of assets when it was acquired by First Republic Bank in 2012. At First Republic Bank, Mr. Harrison served as Senior Managing Director and Wealth Manager.
Mr. Harrison has been named a "Best-in-State Wealth Advisor" by Forbes. In addition, Barron's named him one of "America's Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors" in 2018. In 2020, Barron's named IEQ Capital one of "America's Top RIA Firms," citing Mr. Harrison as one of the firm's top executives.*
Mr. Harrison is active in his community and has served on over 15 corporate boards including his roles as a member on the Board of Directors of four non-profit organizations: South Central Scholars, Woodside Priory, Girls’ Middle School, and Silicon Valley Urban Debate League (SVUDL). Additionally, Mr. Harrison serves on the advisory board for FPA Core Plus Fund IV; serves on the advisory board for Fortress Lending Fund; serves on the advisory board for Francisco Partners Credit Partners; serves on the advisory board for CBRE Wood Partners 4; and serves on the advisory board for CBRE Development Partners 5; and serves on the advisory board for Blackstone Strategic Partners Real Estate VII, L.P..
Mr. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado and MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
