THE ROLE

The Vice President, Product Management (m/f/d) leads product management for “IGEL’s enterprise secure endpoint OS for now and next” by understanding customer needs, defining, and articulating a clear vision rooted in deep market understanding and is driven by innovation, driving ruthless prioritization and flawless execution. This highly visible, cross-functional role works closely with all product teams, engineering leaders, customer experience professionals, sales engineers, and sales teams to manage the IGEL platform and extend the product portfolio. 

Implementing, improving and reviewing agile workflows und planning is a key objective to unlock each team’s full potential and make sure all flight level teams are delivering value to our customers and the business. 

The Vice President, Product Management (m/f/d) is a trusted advisor to the company leadership in providing market insights, implementing efficient processes, improving execution, and helps to scale the company. The role reports to the CTO and works effectively with and influences senior leadership within the company, employees in other functions, and has direct customer contact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads, mentors and motivates a team of product managers, removing obstacles and drives focus to deliver at full potential
  • Integrates usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
  • Defines and analyzes metrics that inform the success of existing products and introduction of new innovations
  • Coordinates and scales cross-functional efforts across the globe
  • Drives the strategy for a portfolio of products and services to create a structured plan and a cohesive strategy
  • Leads the ideation and launch of innovative products and services
  • Collaborates with product marketing, support, customer experience and sales teams to solve for business limiters  and pursue key business accelerants

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science

  • 10+ years product management experience in developing enterprise products, with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing a global team of product managers

  • Ability to manage the work efforts of managers

  • Fully responsible to manage teams on performance appraisals and pay reviews

  • Strong skills in managing the product discovery process

  • Analytical mindset and strategic thinking, solid coaching and mentoring skills

  • In-depth knowledge of agile approaches to product development

  • Deep experience with product lifecycle, all the way from strategy, product definition, planning and execution, sales enablement, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate ideas and recommendations to all internal and external audiences

  • Excellent knowledge of the EUC space; cloud service architectures is a huge plus
