Alexandra (Ali) Davidov is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Florida College of Medicine, focusing on AAV gene therapy in the Zolotukhin Lab since January 2024. As the Wet Lab Lead for the iGEM UF 2023 Team, Alexandra is involved in developing a human bone marrow organoid to enhance understanding of immune and sepsis-related studies. Additional roles include an intern position at Blossoming Butterfly, Inc., a nonprofit organization supporting individuals diagnosed with breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and uterine cancer, and serving as the Director of Fundraising for the Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity. Alexandra also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant in the microbiology lab at the University of Florida's Department of Microbiology and Cell Science and previously worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Farrer Laboratory of Neurogenetics and Neuroscience. Alexandra is pursuing a degree in Microbiology and Cell Sciences with a focus on Pre-Medicine at the University of Florida, expected to graduate in 2025.
