Joyce Wong

Antibody Engineering Scientist at IgGenix

Joyce Wong has worked in the field of life sciences since 2005. Joyce began their career as a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Alberta, where they solved the crystal structure of the TraM-sbmA protein-DNA complex and apo-N-terminal domain, studied cooperative TraM binding to sbmA by electrophoretic mobility shift assay, and characterized the binding of the TraD C-terminal peptide to the TraM C-terminal domain by x-ray crystallography and pulldown assays. In 2012, they moved to Stanford University, where they worked as a Basic Life Science Research Scientist and a Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2019, they were a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied Nipah virus cell entry proteins on a supported lipid bilayer and total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy platform. Currently, Joyce is an Antibody Engineering Scientist at IgGenix, Inc.

Joyce Wong obtained a B.Sc., Honors, Co-op in Biochemistry from The University of British Columbia between 2000 and 2005. Joyce then went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta between 2005 and 2012.
