Dr. Yogendra Singh is a Professor at the Department of Zoology, University of Delhi, since October 2015, focusing on teaching M. Sc students and providing research guidance. Dr. Singh has extensive experience in the field, having served as a Professor and Chief Scientist at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR) from September 1991 to September 2015, and currently at IGIB from 1991 to the present, concentrating on bacterial pathogenesis related to anthrax and tuberculosis. A visiting scientist at Max Planck in Germany in June 2000 and previously involved in research at NIH in the USA from June 1983 to July 1991, Dr. Singh's academic background includes a Ph.D. from Delhi University (1977-1983) and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Balrampur (1970-1974).
