Gavin K. has over a decade of work experience in the software development industry. In 2004, they began as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Games On Demand, where they developed a Windows desktop application using Visual Studio, C#, WinForms, Telerik, and PostgreSQL. Gavin also supervised a team of programmers to enhance the application with a media player and an integrated chat module. In 2006, they moved to IT Vision as a Software Developer, working in the Research & Development department to develop the user interface for an application framework. Gavin also migrated database scripts from IBM UniVerse to Microsoft SQL Server. In 2008, they joined Enprecis Group as a Systems Analyst, providing technical consultation to the Business Solutions Consultant and working closely with Product Managers and Software Developers to implement client requirements. Gavin was later promoted to Team Lead, supervising team projects and tracking scheduled tasks. In 2015, they began working for both Igloo Software and Fieldpoint Service Applications, Inc. as a Software Developer. At Igloo Software, they worked in a team responsible for enhancing and debugging important components of the company's employee engagement and corporate social networking software product using Visual Studio, C#, Git, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure. Gavin also developed an automated testing solution for the Release Operations and Quality Assurance teams written in C# using Selenium WebDriver utilizing Microsoft's Unit Testing Framework in Visual Studio. At Fieldpoint Service Applications, Inc., they worked with a team in developing, debugging, and testing the next generation of Fieldpoint's project and field management software using Visual Studio, C#, Team Foundation Server, and Microsoft SQL Server. Gavin was also responsible for writing a module in VB. NET for the existing product which calculates various taxes via AvaTax API Web Services.

Gavin K. attended Murdoch University from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
