Astha Desai

Astha Desai has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on sales automation and digital transformation. Astha currently holds the role of Director-Head of Product at Igloo, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Prudential plc as a UX program manager from January 2021 to September 2022 and as a Digital Product Manager from December 2019 to June 2021. Astha also served as a Sr.Project Manager from November 2018 to December 2019 at Prudential plc.

Before their time at Prudential plc, Astha worked at AIA as part of the digital transformation team from April 2018 to October 2018. Astha also held various positions at Tata AIA Life Insurance, including AVP & Head Distribution Technology from May 2017 to September 2018 and Head Distribution Technology from September 2015 to May 2017.

Additionally, Astha has experience at Birla Sun Life Insurance as Chief Manager from an unknown start date to September 2015 and at BIRLA SUNLIFE INSURANCE CO LTD as Senior Manager- automation & innovation from December 2013 to April 2015.

Astha began their career in 2006 at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, starting as a Manager in May 2006 and later taking on the role of Sr.Manager sales Automation from April 2011 to December 2013. During their time at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, they played a crucial role in driving sales automation and digitizing the sales journey.

Astha Desai completed their education in Business Administration and Management with a focus on Finance and IT. From 2004 to 2006, they pursued a PGDM in Finance & IT from the Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development. During the same period, they also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Sri Balaji University in Pune.

In addition to their formal education, Astha Desai has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills in various domains. In August 2021, they completed the "UX Foundations: Information Architecture" certification from LinkedIn. In June 2021, they obtained the "Getting Started in User Experience" certification, also from LinkedIn.

Furthermore, Astha Desai completed the "AI for Everyone" certification in July 2020, offered by Coursera. In March 2020, they obtained the "Design Thinking" certification from Cooper Professional Education, Instructor & Udemy.

In terms of project management certifications, Astha Desai earned the "PSM1(Professional Scrum Master)" certification from Scrum.org in August 2018. Additionally, they acquired the "PRINCE2 Foundation" and "PRINCE2 Practitioner" certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice in July and August 2018, respectively.
