Ahmed El-Salawy

Ahmed El-Salawy is a highly skilled professional specializing in human rights and LGBTQI advocacy, currently serving as a Policy and Research Officer at IGLYO since July 2023. Previously, Ahmed worked as a Junior Consultant on Human Rights Council and UPR at ILGA World, an LGBT Rights Program Intern at Human Rights Watch, and held various roles at Save the Children International, UNHCR, and EGBANK, among others. Academic credentials include a Master of Laws in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from European-University Viadrina and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Cairo University, complemented by an academic stint at the American University focusing on Public Diplomacy, Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Sexualities Studies.
