Aileen Naismith

Aileen Naismith (ex-Madden) has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Aileen served as the SVP and Chief Audit Executive at IGM Financial Inc., where they led a high-performing team in providing assurance and advisory services. Aileen was also responsible for overseeing the IGWM CPA Training Office, a program aimed at recruiting and developing financially skilled professionals. Aileen served as a Member of the Board and Vice Chair at Safety Services Manitoba, and as a Member of the Board at Legal Aid Manitoba. Aileen held the role of Treasurer at Winnipeg Harvest and served as an Executive Committee Member and Secretary at the International Association of Airline Internal Auditors. Earlier in their career, they worked at Air Canada, leading the Corporate Audit & Advisory group and serving as the Director of Audit, Risk & Compliance. Aileen also held various roles at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Deloitte Consulting, UK. Additionally, they were involved in community organizations such as We Believe in Winnipeg Toastmasters and IIA Winnipeg Chapter.

Aileen Naismith (ex-Madden) obtained a Bachelor of Commerce Hons. (B.Com) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manitoba, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. Aileen also earned a High School Diploma from McLurg High School. In terms of additional certifications, Aileen completed courses such as "Fostering Inclusion and Diversity" at the Yale School of Management and holds certifications in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Internal Auditing (CIA), and Chartered Accountancy (CPA-CA). Aileen also obtained a Diploma in Aviation Studies from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
