Kimberley Messer

Kimberley Messer has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kimberley currently holds the position of VP, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at IGM Financial Inc. since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at IBM Canada, where they held various roles. Kimberley served as the North America Business Development Leader from May 2015 to April 2021, advising customers globally on LGBT/diversity and human capital as strategic business drivers. Kimberley also undertook a special assignment supporting the VP of Development for B2B&Commerce from December 2013 to April 2015, gaining valuable insights into running the Smarter Commerce portfolio. Before these roles, they held positions as Manager Information Development WebSphere Commerce from March 2008 to December 2013, Information Developer: DB2 from March 2004 to March 2008, and Software Developer DB2-Siebel Integration from March 2000 to March 2004.

Kimberley Messer obtained a Master's degree in Information Technology Education from Dalhousie University in 1999-2000. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Education and Arts from the University of New Brunswick from 1992-1996. In terms of additional certifications, they received various certifications including being an IBM Be Equal Ambassador in 2020, an IBM Selling Profession Certification - Level II Expert in 2018, an LGBT+ Ally Championship Practitioner in 2018, an IBM Design Thinking Practitioner in 2016, and a Business and Industry Insight certification in 2015.
