Ashley Shutt has a diverse work experience. From 2004 to 2007, they worked at Dr. Generosa Lazor's Office in Laurel Pediatrics and Teen Medical Center. In 2008, they joined The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, where they held various roles including Research Assistant, Medical Technologist 3 Team Lead, and Clinical Research Supervisor. Ashley worked there until 2016. Since 2017, Ashley has been working at the Institute of Human Virology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Ashley has held roles such as Lead Clinical Research Specialist, Program Manager, and currently serves as the Program Director.
Ashley Shutt earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Science Laboratory Technology from Harford Community College from 2003 to 2005. Afterwards, they attended Towson University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from 2005 to 2007. Continuing their education at Towson University, Ashley completed their Masters of Science degree in Health Administration from 2008 to 2011. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained the CCRP certification from SOCRA in April 2017.
