Francis Bako, MPH, possesses extensive experience in strategic information leadership within healthcare programs, particularly in the HIV care and treatment sector. Currently serving as the SI Lead for the US/CDC PEPFAR HIV care and treatment program at the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria since March 2013, Francis Bako oversees data processes, program indicators, and strategic information deliverables in Rivers State. Previous roles include M&E Lead and Regional Global Fund SI Officer, focusing on monitoring, reporting, and technical support for various health initiatives. Prior to joining the Institute, Francis Bako gained experience as a Data Assistant at General and Health Logistics International Limited and as a Field Officer at Excellence Foundation International. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Public Health from the National Open University of Nigeria and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Ahmadu Bello University.
