Sofia Nord is a highly experienced technology leader currently serving as the Global VP Technology for Service Management & Operations at IKEA since August 2014. In this role, Sofia is responsible for the Service Management & Operations organization, overseeing a broad spectrum of IT services that support over 200,000 IKEA co-workers, while managing Country Service Operations globally. Previous positions at IKEA include Director for Supporting Infrastructure & Support Improvements, where responsibilities included delivering innovative IT solutions and managing an extensive budget, as well as leading a global operational quality assurance team. Sofia's career also includes experience as a Systems Engineer at Sony Mobile Communications and various consulting roles. Academically, Sofia holds a Master of Science degree in Information and Communication Engineering Technologies and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics, both from Lund University.
