Kimon Bekelis has a wealth of work experience. Kimon began their career in 2009 as a Resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. In 2017, they became the Chairman of Neurointerventional Services at Catholic Health Services, the Director of The Stroke & Brain Aneurysm Center of Long Island, Co-Founder and Chairman of IKONA, Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center and Co Director of the Neuro-ICU at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, and an Attending Neurosurgeon at Long Island Brain & Spine. In 2015, they were an Assistant Professor and Instructor at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice. In 2018, they became a Board Member of the American Heart Association and a Medical Advisory Board Member of the LISA COLAGROSSI FOUNDATION.
Kimon Bekelis received their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in 2008, after studying Medicine from 2002-2008.
