Eric Mbuthia Kanyi has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. In 2010, they began their career as a Medical Officer Intern at the Aga Khan University Hospital. In 2011, they worked as a Medical Officer for both Savannah Healthcare Services Ltd. and Meridian Medical Centre Ltd. In 2013, they became a Resident Doctor for Savannah Healthcare Services Ltd. In 2014, they were promoted to Technical Implementation Manager at Savannah Informatics. In 2016, they joined SAIL Databank as a Research Analyst. In 2017, they became the Technical Director (Informatics/Analytics) at Access Afya. Currently, they are the CTO and Director of Clinical Affairs at Ilara Health, where they are responsible for the development and deployment of digital health tools, facility management, patient remote monitoring tools, integrated diagnostics, patient engagement tools, and online learning for healthcare providers.
Eric Mbuthia Kanyi's education history consists of four educational experiences. Eric attended Strathmore School from 1999 to 2002, Strathmore University from 2003 to 2004, where they obtained an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) degree, the University of Nairobi from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained an MBChB degree in Medicine, and Swansea University from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained an MSc Health Informatics degree.
