Julio César Mateus is a Tenured Lecturer at the University of Lima since March 2008, responsible for courses in communication and research within the Faculty of Communication. Additionally, Julio serves as the Coordinator of the Communication, Education, and Culture research group, focusing on high-quality knowledge production related to media and cultural industries in Peru. Julio has held various academic administrative roles, including Chief Editor and Adjunct Editor, contributing to the organization of graduate programs. Currently, Julio is a Professor in both the Doctorate in Communication at the Escuela de Posgrado of the University of Lima and the Doctorate in Educational Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Projects as an Educational Projects Strategy Advisor for Fundación Telefónica del Perú and as an external consultant for the Instituto de Estudios Peruanos further reflect Julio's expertise in educational strategies involving technology and media. Julio has an extensive educational background, including a PhD in Communication from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and advanced studies at KU Leuven and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
