Mariana Bacelo

Mariana Bacelo has a diverse work experience in the field of UX/UI design. Mariana most recently worked at ilegra as a Senior UX/UI Designer, where they played a key role in restructuring the Thomson Reuters accounting system by developing new usability flows and solutions. Mariana conducted research, interviews, and tests on prototypes with users to analyze profiles and usability. Mariana also maintained the company's global Design System and created complementary documents to business rules.

Prior to ilegra, Mariana worked at Reserva as a UX/UI Designer, focusing on projects related to digital transformation and bringing store experiences online. Mariana analyzed the user experience throughout the process and used research and metrics to understand clients and their pain points.

Before that, Mariana worked at act digital as a UX/UI Designer, where they contributed to agile projects in product development. Mariana worked on system improvements for BTG bank and created the mobile version of an app for Prudential, conducting research and implementing usability improvements.

Mariana also gained experience as a UX/UI Designer at iFriend, where they were responsible for creating the company's application and website layouts. Mariana also collaborated with the marketing team on social media posts and the development of new services.

Earlier in their career, Mariana worked at Byteme as a UX/UI Designer, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives. Mariana created websites, applications, visual identities, and social media communications as part of the design team.

Mariana Bacelo holds a Master's degree in Marketing from the Universidade de Coimbra, which they obtained from 2022 to 2024. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Graphic Design from Centro Universitário IBMR from 2019 to 2021. Mariana also holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Universidade Federal Fluminense, which they earned from 2018 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Mariana Bacelo has obtained several certifications. These include the TOEIC - Test of English for International Communication at an intermediate level (B2), obtained from ETS in August 2022. Mariana also completed a certification in Product Management from Product Arena in June 2022.
