Zeyne Oulmakki is an experienced communications professional and social advocate with a strong focus on LGBTQ+ rights and media representation. Currently a Communications Intern at ILGA since October 2018 and Co-Founder of ASTRSC since June 2017, Zeyne has contributed significantly to researching harmful media tropes in Africa and developing tools to combat these stereotypes. Previous roles include Program Associate at IREX for the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Student Manager of Terra at Stanford University, and Research Intern at Human Rights Watch's MENA division, demonstrating a commitment to human rights, racial justice, and gender equality. Zeyne holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University and has a history of impactful volunteer work in promoting gender equality in Morocco.
