Aaluk Edwardson

Aaluk Edwardson is an experienced educator and communications specialist with a diverse professional background. As the Founder and Director of Creative Decolonization since January 2017, Aaluk curates workshops focused on cultural education and awareness, incorporating post-colonial and indigenous perspectives. Aaluk serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Ilisagvik College, teaching creative writing and performance. Previous roles include communications positions at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute and NASA, as well as recruitment and program coordination roles within various organizations. Aaluk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater modified with Sociology from Dartmouth College and has significant experience in grant management and administrative support, particularly in relation to social services and educational initiatives.
