Ryan Baker

Ryan Baker is an accomplished sports journalist with extensive experience in television broadcasting. Since April 2008, Ryan has served as Sports Director and Morning News Anchor at WBBM | CBS Chicago, co-anchoring multiple weekday morning newscasts while leading sports coverage for the weekday evening broadcasts featuring major Chicago teams. Ryan has also hosted a weekly TV show with University of Illinois Head Basketball Coach John Groce since 2006, airing on prominent networks. Prior roles include Sports Anchor/Reporter at WMAQ-TV/NBC 5 Chicago, where Ryan co-hosted the Sports Sunday show, and hosting Bears Gameday shows from 2005 to 2008. Ryan's earlier positions include Sports Director at WKMG-TV and reporting roles at multiple stations, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
