Jay Wagner

Jay Wagner is a seasoned audit professional with extensive experience in various roles related to internal auditing and information systems. Currently serving as the Chief Audit Executive at the Illinois Attorney General's Office since June 2014, Jay previously held the same role at the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs from April 2011 to May 2014 and worked as an Information Technology Internal Auditor at the Illinois Attorney General's Office from October 2005 to April 2011. Earlier in their career, Jay worked as an Information System Auditor for the Illinois Auditor General's Office and as a Graduate Public Service Intern at the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. Jay began a career in the healthcare sector as a Dietary Aide at Passavant Area Hospital. Jay Wagner holds a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Springfield, earned between 1996 and 2001.
