Tara Washington

Tara Washington possesses extensive experience in IT purchasing and finance, currently serving as the Assistant Director at the Illinois Housing Development Authority since April 2019, after holding the position of Senior Manager in the same department. Prior to this role, Tara worked at the Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology as a Strategic Sourcing Manager in the Vendor Management Office from July 2016 to April 2019, and at the State of Illinois/Central Management Services from September 2012 to June 2016 as a Strategic Sourcing Manager. The career began at Chicago Public Schools as a Main Office Clerk from 2007 until September 2012. Tara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources & Family Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
