Liz Lux is a seasoned research technician at Northwestern University since March 2003, currently focused on senescence, organ injury repair, and cell aging at the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute, having previously worked in cell and molecular biology. In addition to academic research, Liz serves on the Executive Associate Board of the Illinois Science Council, promoting STEM education and engagement in the Chicago area. Volunteer activities include roles at the John G. Shedd Aquarium and past work as an education facilitator at The Field Museum. Earlier experience comprises call center volunteering for Obama for America and data entry in the accounts payable department at Bethany Methodist Hospital. Liz Lux holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Long Island University, Southampton Campus.
