Daniel K. Wright is an experienced legal professional currently serving on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Jury Instructions in Criminal Cases since January 2023 and as a Commissioner for the Illinois Forensic Science Commission since March 2022. Previously, Daniel has held significant positions at the Sangamon County State's Attorney's Office, starting as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Felony Division and advancing to First Assistant State's Attorney, and ultimately serving as State’s Attorney. Daniel's prior experience also includes partnership at Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP, recognized as Illinois' oldest law firm. Daniel earned a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Illinois College.
