Adam White is a Senior Staff Engineer at Illumina, where work focuses on research and technology development in the Advanced Platforms and Devices group since December 2020. Prior to this role, Adam served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University under Stephen Quake and Polly Fordyce, concentrating on spectrally encoded microbeads for pathogen detection, and directed the Stanford Microfluidics Foundry, managing cleanroom operations and user training. Adam's academic journey includes earning a PhD in Genome Science and Technology and a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at The University of British Columbia, along with an undergraduate degree in Physics. Early experience includes co-op positions and research assistant roles in various laboratories, developing microfluidic technologies and supporting stem cell research. Additionally, Adam completed a certificate program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2020.
