Ulla Malinen

Ulla Malinen is the current Head of Business Legal at Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. Ulla has held this position since December of 2017. Prior to this, they were the General Counsel at Etera Mutual Pension Insurance Company from September 2011 to December 2017. There, they served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors and head of the legal team. Before that, Ulla Malinen was the Chief Operating Officer at Pohjola Private Equity Funds Ltd (current Acces Capital Partners Ltd) from February 2007 to June 2011. There, they were responsible for business operations, compliance, regulatory matters, development of investment products, fund formations, legal structuring, legal and commercial due diligence and fund agreement negotiations with investee fund managers and limited partners, investor reporting, and was a member of the Investment Committee. Ulla Malinen has also been the Managing Director, COO at Proventure Oy from May 1999 to February 2007 and Legal Counsel at SKF Finance Ltd. (3i Finland) from May 1992 to January 1998. Her first job was as an Assistant at Finnvera Oyj from March 1989 to May 1992.

Ulla Malinen has a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki, and they are currently a graduate student in business administration and operations at Helsinki Secretarial College (current polytechnic Helia).
