Sabrina Solares-Hand

Sabrina Solares-Hand has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sabrina is currently working at ILO Group, where they started in September 2021 as a State & District Project Lead. Sabrina then progressed to the role of Managing Director in August 2022, and recently became the Senior Managing Director in January 2023.

Prior to their current role, Sabrina worked at the City of Providence starting in July 2017. Sabrina held various positions, including Associate Director of Purchasing, Director of Operations, and Chief Operating Officer & Senior Adviser to the Mayor. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing operations, leading initiatives, and managing economic development and mobility projects.

In 2015, Sabrina worked as an External Affairs Associate at Blackstone Valley Prep Mayoral Academy, where they managed communication, marketing, and branding efforts for a network of public schools.

Sabrina also has experience as an Education Pioneers Visiting Fellow in 2015, and as an Event Director at The Savory Affair Event Planning & Design from 2012 to 2015, where they coordinated and marketed events in both the corporate and social sectors.

Sabrina's earliest work experience was as an Event Director at The Savory Grape Wine Shop from December 2007 to July 2012. In this role, they organized wine-centric events, managed supply orders, and handled retail sales.

Sabrina Solares-Hand's education history is as follows:

Sabrina attended Charles E. Shea High School from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained their high school diploma.

Sabrina then attended Johnson & Wales University and completed an Associate's Degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from 2004 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from the same university, which they completed in 2007.

In 2009, Sabrina obtained a WSET Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines and Spirits from the Trustees of the International Wine & Spirit Centre. Sabrina further enhanced their knowledge in this field and obtained a WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits in 2011 from the same institution.

In 2021, Sabrina acquired additional certifications. Sabrina received an Innovation Track Certificate from the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative in September and a Leadership Decision Making Program Certificate from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in June.

Currently, Sabrina is pursuing a Master of Science - MS degree in Education Policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
