Matthew Blackwell

Matthew Blackwell has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Matthew worked for Iluka Resources for a significant portion of their career, holding several leadership roles such as Head of Sales, Marketing and Major Projects, Head of Major Projects, Engineering and Innovation, Head of Marketing, President and General Manager US Region, General Manager - Special Projects, General Manager - Land Management, and President US Operations. Prior to their time at Iluka Resources, they served as Vice President Operations at Asia Pacific Resources. Matthew also worked at WMC Resources in various roles and at WMC Olympic Dam as a Project Engineer. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Mt Leyshon Gold Mines.

Matthew Blackwell has a diverse education history. Matthew began their educational journey in 1990 at The University of Queensland, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Matthew completed their degree in 1993. Continuing their academic pursuits, Matthew Blackwell enrolled at Deakin University in 1995 and graduated in 1998 with a Masters degree in Business Administration. In 1996 and 1997, they attended Deakin University once again to obtain a Graduate Diploma in Technology Management. Lastly, in 2009, Matthew Blackwell attended Harvard Business School for a short period of time, completing a GMP (General Management Program) in Business.
