Paul Leendertse

Paul Leendertse is an experienced mining engineer with a robust background in production planning, surveying, and operations management across multiple companies in the mining sector. Currently serving as a Mining Engineer at Iluka Resources since May 2019, Paul has previously held positions including Senior Mining Engineer at Galaxy Resources, and roles at Rio Tinto that encompassed production and development scheduling, safety engineering, and systems analysis. Paul’s extensive experience includes managing drill and blast designs, overseeing production teams, and implementing cost-saving and efficiency projects. Additional roles include Radiation Safety Officer at SA Radiation and Senior Mine Surveyor at Sons of Gwalia among others, demonstrating a comprehensive skill set in both engineering and operational capacities in mining.
