Panos Giotis

Panos Giotis has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Panos is currently working as an Audio R&D Engineer at Image-Line Software, the makers of FL STUDIO, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Breath Research Inc. as a Senior Audio/DSP Software Engineer from March 2010 to September 2019, where their work contributed to the publication of several US patents. Before that, in 2009, Panos worked as an Audio/DSP Software Developer at Devine Machine, where they developed a high-performance pitch-shifting and time-stretching framework. Panos also worked as an Audio Software Research & Development engineer at the Music Technology Group of Universitat Pompeu Fabra - UPF, from January 2009 to September 2009, where they developed a voice conversion module using spectral envelope modeling and statistical signal processing. Additionally, they were a PhD candidate at CTTC from October 2006 to July 2008, where their research focused on telecommunications engineering. Panos also gained experience as a Telecommunications Engineer at Siemens, participating in the project for Call processing Maintenance, in 2006. Furthermore, they worked as a Network and System Administrator at Patras Wireless Network, where they were responsible for the installation and administration of a large urban wireless network. Panos also served as a Network and System Administrator at the Network Operations Center (KEAD/D) at the University of Patras, working on system security and network application development. Overall, Panos Giotis has garnered expertise in audio research and development, DSP software engineering, telecommunications, network administration, and system security throughout their career.

Panos Giotis has a diverse education history. Panos started their academic journey in 2000 at the University of Patras, where they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in the Computer Engineering & Informatics Department. This program lasted from 2000 to 2005, providing him with a strong foundation in their field.

After completing their master's degree, Panos Giotis continued their studies at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2008. Panos enrolled in a Master's program focused on Sound & Music Computing and successfully completed it in 2009. This experience allowed him to gain expertise in the intersection of technology and audio-related disciplines.

In addition to their master's program at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Giotis also embarked on a PhD program at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2006. Panos'sdoctoral research centered around the field of Telecommunications and continued until 2009.
