Gene Gemperline

Gene Gemperline has a diverse work experience in various roles related to user experience design and media production. Gene is currently working at iManage as the Lead User Experience Designer since January 2023. Prior to this role, they were a Senior User Experience Designer at iManage from March 2020 to January 2023.

Before joining iManage, Gene worked at Jellyvision for over a decade. Gene started as a Media Producer in June 2009 and later became the Director of Media Production from January 2012 to February 2015. As the Director, they managed a team of six interactive media producers and established design and media standards for the company's main product, "Interactive Conversation." Gene also documented and reinforced departmental best practices.

During their time at Jellyvision, Gene also served as a User Experience Designer from February 2015 to January 2020. Gene led the design for Jellyvision's proprietary internal content authoring tool and the redesign of the benefits configuration tool. The content authoring tool is used by creative and production staff to create and manage the company's flagship SaaS product, ALEX Benefits Counselor. The benefits configuration tool, on the other hand, is used by implementation staff, customers, and brokers to input unique benefits information.

Gene's earlier work experience includes roles at Daily Planet Ltd as an Assistant Editor / Motion Graphics Designer from December 2006 to May 2009, Foundation Post as a Post Production Intern from October 2006 to December 2006, Jellyvision as a Freelance Media Producer from July 2006 to October 2006, and Ogilvy & Mather as a Post Production Intern from December 2005 to June 2006.

Gene Gemperline attended DePaul University from 2001 to 2006 and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Playwriting and Digital Cinema. In addition to their formal education, Gene has also completed the following certifications: Inclusive Mindset from LinkedIn, obtained in May 2022, and a UX Certificate from Nielsen Norman Group, obtained in March 2022.
