Research Fellow at Imbue

Jamie Simon is currently a Research Fellow at Imbue since May 2022, focusing on fundamental research into neural net dynamics and generalization, which complements ongoing PhD studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where Jamie has been a Graduate Student Researcher and Instructor since August 2019. Prior experience includes a Research Internship with a published theory on self-supervised learning, a Visiting Researcher position at Chalmers University of Technology developing methods for nanofabricating superconducting qubits, and an Undergraduate Research Fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Additionally, Jamie gained experience as a Data Science Intern at Savi Technology from June 2015 to February 2017. Jamie is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, expected to complete in 2025, following a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech.
