Cédric Dessez

Cédric Dessez has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Cédric began their career in 2010 as an Officer in the French Air Force, where they underwent leadership training and taught military subjects. In 2012, they worked as a Web Developer at Vsplash TechLabs for a short period.

From 2013 to 2014, Cédric interned at Cisco in the Network Operating Systems Technology Group, where they designed and implemented a mechanism for interconnecting home networks through a social network. In 2014, they also worked as a Master Thesis Student at Imperial College London.

Cédric joined Cisco again in 2014 as an Associate Network Consulting Engineer. Cédric provided technical support to customers and completed various certifications. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Network Consulting Engineer, assisting Cisco's enterprise customers and ISPs in maintaining and developing their IT infrastructures, focusing on cloud infrastructure, network function virtualization, and automation.

In 2016, Cédric transitioned to IMC Trading as a Trading Systems Engineer and Software Engineer. Cédric played a crucial role in solving trading operational incidents, improving the existing setup, and building new systems and strategies. Cédric also collaborated with other engineering teams to ensure maximum availability, stability, and performance of the trading platform. In June 2020, they were promoted to the position of Software Engineer Team Lead at IMC Trading.

Cédric Dessez's education history includes a Master of Science (MS) in Computing, Distributed Systems from Imperial College London, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to this, they pursued an Engineering Degree (equivalent to a Master of Science) in Computer Science from École Polytechnique, completing it from 2010 to 2014. Before attending École Polytechnique, Cédric studied Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Aux Lazaristes from 2008 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Cédric Dessez also holds several certifications from Cisco. Cédric obtained the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing & Switching certification in November 2014, as well as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing & Switching and CCNA Security certifications in October 2014.
