Matt Benney

Matt Benney has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on trading and finance. Matt has worked in various roles at IMC Trading, starting as a Derivatives Trader and progressing to Team Lead and Partner. In these positions, they have been responsible for managing strategies across different product classes and exchanges, as well as building and leading teams. Matt has also served as the Education Lead, working closely with HR to design internship and traineeship content. Prior to their time at IMC, Matt worked at Macquarie Bank as a Finance Senior Associate, where they gained experience in accounting and finance across multiple divisions. Matt also worked as a Tax Accountant at Multiplex, focusing on FBT, GST, and depreciation, before transitioning to the Financial Accounting team.
