Noel Davison has held a variety of positions in the biomedical field. In 2021, they became the Director of Business Development at VIVOLTA. From 2018-2021, they were the Managing Director and Founder at Instructure Labs BV, and also a Research Fellow at the MERLN Institute of Regenerative Medicine at Universiteit Maastricht. From 2014-2018, they were a Senior Application Consultant and Application Development Manager at DSM Biomedical, where they developed new cardiovascular and orthopaedic applications and products. From 2009-2014, they were a Scientist in New Product Development at Xpand Biotechnology BV/Progentix Orthobiology BV. From 2010-2014, they were a PhD Researcher in Biomaterials in Regenerative Medicine at the University of Twente, where they investigated topographical control of the cell and tissue response for bone regeneration by osteoinductive biomaterials. From 2007-2009, they were a Graduate Researcher in Biomedical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University, where they investigated in vitro models of osteoarthritis in 3D hydrogel constructs for tissue engineering. From 2009-2010, they were a Research Consultant at TiGenix, and from 2007-2009, they were a Product Development Engineer at RTI Biologics.
Noel Davison obtained a M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering, with a specialization in Tissue Regeneration, from The Johns Hopkins University in 2009. In 2014, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomaterials in Regenerative Medicine from the University of Twente, Cum Laude. Prior to that, they obtained a B.S. from the University of Florida in 2006, Summa Cum Laude, in Bioengineering.
