Alvaro Vilaplana Garcia

Alvaro Vilaplana Garcia is a skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing and enhancing data platforms, particularly in low latency sports data and property acquisition across multiple countries. Currently, Alvaro is a contractor at IMG ARENA, focusing on automating and evolving an Akka Streams-based platform while migrating services from AWS EC2 to AWS EKS. Prior roles include developing systems for Heimstaden Group utilizing Event Sourcing and CQRS, and creating a core banking system at 11:FS, all while leveraging technologies such as Scala, AWS, and various big data frameworks.
