From 2007 to 2012, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Raytheon, and from 2012 to 2015, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Red Hat. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Software Engineering Manager at Apparatus Infrastructure Services, a Virtusa Company. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Lead Backend Software Engineer at The Walt Disney Studios. During 2018, they were an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, and Senior Software Engineer 2 at Twilio Inc., and an Open Source Middleware Consultant at Office Depot. In 2019, they became a Partner and Founder of Impact Upgrade, a systems and software company that solely partners with nonprofits and people-serving businesses.
Brett Meyer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Valparaiso University between 2004 and 2008. Brett then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Computer Science from Purdue University between 2008 and 2010.
