Ian Simm is the founder and Chief Executive of Impax Asset Management, a global investment management firm specializing in resource efficiency and environmental markets. Ian has been with the company since its establishment in 1996. Prior to that, Ian worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, where they focused on providing clean transportation and waste management advice to multinational companies and regulators. Ian has also held external board and committee appointments, and served as a part-time member of the National Environment Research Council.
Ian Simm has a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, which they obtained between 1991 and 1993. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) at the University of Cambridge, from 1985 to 1988.
