Parker Callender is a Research and Development Engineer at Imperative Care, focusing on advancements in thrombectomy removal from the brain since July 2022. Prior to this role, Parker served as the Director for the Wisconsin Alumni Student Board from January 2019 to July 2022, where involvement in creating impactful experiences for students was emphasized. As an R&D Intern at Abbott in summer 2021, Parker concentrated on mechanical testing for MitraClip Generation 5. Additional internships include a summer position at the Fogarty Institute for Innovation, gaining exposure to life sciences entrepreneurship, and experiences at Versartis, Child Family Health International, and UserWise, Inc., where knowledge in biology and engineering, as well as human usability testing, was developed. Parker holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed in 2022.
